Course Description:

Course Title: Video Production
Duration: Three months
Modality: Face-to-face/Online

Course objective:

To train young people in the skills and knowledge necessary to create high quality audiovisual content. At the end of the course, participants will be able to conceptualize, plan, record, edit and distribute videos for various platforms and purposes.

Methodology:

The course combines theory and practice through lectures, workshops, case studies and practical projects. Students will have access to professional equipment and software, as well as guidance from instructors with experience in the audiovisual industry.

Course content

Introduction to Video Production:

  • History and evolution of video.
  • Types of video production: documentary, promotional, educational.
  • Roles and responsibilities in a video production.

Preproduction:

Contents:

  • Research and development of the idea.
  • Script and storyboard writing.
  • Planning and organization of the shooting: budgets, schedules and permits.
  • Selection and management of the technical and artistic team.

Production:

Contents:

  • Recording techniques: cameras, framing and camera movements.
  • Lighting: basic principles and advanced techniques.
  • Sound: audio capture, microphones and recording techniques.
  • Stage direction and acting.

Postproduction:

Contents:

  • Video editing: software, techniques and workflows.
  • Sound and music editing: mixing and mastering.
  • Visual effects and graphics: introduction to VFX and motion graphics.
  • Color correction and color grading.

Distribution and Marketing:

Contents:

  • Distribution strategies: platforms and formats.
  • Digital marketing and social media promotion.
  • Audience analysis and success metrics.
  • Copyright and legal aspects.

Final Project:

Contents:

  • Development and production of an integral video project.
  • Presentation and defense of the project before a panel of experts.
  • Evaluation and feedback.
